Able Seaman Jeffrey Allan Morgan RNVR
Letters sent by Able Seaman Jeffrey Allan Morgan RNVR (known as Allan) to
members of his family.
The 2 letters (each of 2 pages) are dated 28th December 1939, and 20th October
1940 - i.e. about 2 weeks before the ship went down.
The first letter, which is a bit feint, was sent to my Grandparents (Jean being
my mother who was only aged 2 at the time and apparently called Allan "La
La"!), and the second to another relative who was staying with my
Grandparents at the time.
In the second letter, he mentions that he had heard that his family home in
London had been bombed, apparently the site is now occupied by the new Covent
Garden.

Able Seaman Jeffrey Allan Morgan was listed as Missing, Presumed Killed two weeks later.
