| Arthur's brother in law also
remembers Arthur Frederick William Demeza who was on of the crew on the Jervis
Bay. He recalls... "Another familiar name on the crew list is that of
Arthur Demeza. He was a member of the Barking Park Modern (School) Old Boys
Rugby Club. For the winter season of 1938 - 39, Alf Demeza was unable to play
because of an arm in plaster, so he acted as our guide and mentor to the Club's
newly formed colts XV, for whom I played." |

or at least part of it.

Front Row - Bruce; James Reid (Bosun); Unknown- possibly Fitzearl, who left the
J.B.; Crane.
Lang, Desborough, Staples, and Crane are all 'Carpenter's mates'. Reid is the
Bosun. Not yet established what rank Fitzearl would have been.
One of the unknowns possibly Walter Lockwood Bradley, - Head Carpenter. Other
unknowns could be the 'Cooper' - Mardell, or Chief Storekeeper Peskett.
